Your Friendly Bacteria

Nowadays, most people
know that friendly gut bacteria are good for digestive health, and
the popular belief has been that if gut bacteria have become imbalanced,
all that is necessary to rectify the situation is to bung some more
friendly gut bacteria in there.
In practice, this view may be flawed, as a poor gut environment
will not sustain good gut bacteria, so before trying to repopulate
the gut with the good bacteria you have to provide a good environment.
Prebiotics prepare the ground for good gut bacteria and provide
the food to sustain them. Then the probiotics that you use will
be able to thrive. One new and exciting prebiotic is Molkosan
Vitality.
The roots of Molkosan (lactofermented
whey)
Health resorts in Switzerland have been using lactofermented whey
for centuries, since farmers noticing that pigs fed on it seemed
to thrive, tried it themselves. They found that digestive and skin
problems were resolved, and fungal problems such as athlete’s
foot were easily cured.
Alfred Vogel had a clinic in Appenzell, where whey cures were particularly
popular, and he experimented with ways of preserving it so that
its use was not restricted to those living within reach of an alpine
herd! This involved a fermentation process and the removal of the
fat and protein, preserving it and making it suitable for those
intolerant of dairy products. Vogel used only whey from cows grazing
on the uplands, as their milk was enriched with the many herbs growing
in this pastureland, and there was no spraying or chemical use there.
His pure whey concentrate was known as Molkosan.
More recently, Molkosan has been produced
in a powder form combined with green tea, soluble dietary fibre
and a natural orange flavour to make it delicious and easy to use.
How does Molkosan Vitality help you?
Molkosan Vitality contains the relatively rare L+ lactic acid that
creates a positive environment in which friendly gut bacteria can
grow and thrive. These bacteria then secrete more of the healthy
lactic acid and further ensure the correct conditions for their
future survival. Unfriendly bacteria don’t like these conditions
one bit, and as they decline in numbers you will notice many beneficial
developments.
-
Digestive symptoms such as constipation and bloating improve
- As
you are less bloated and uncomfortable, your energy levels and
general feeling of well-being increase
- Due
to the steadily increasing digestive ability, your metabolism
picks up, which can help with weight loss if this is an issue
-
Thrush, athlete’s foot and fungal nail infestations will
get better as unfriendly bacteria are kept at bay
-
Arthritic symptoms may ease as tissue acidity is reduced
The immune system, which gets overwhelmed
when unfriendly bacteria flood the gut, takes a turn for the better
and you feel far more able to fight off infections
Not bad for a tasty and simple remedy that anyone can use, without
getting within spitting distance of an alpine pasture!
